Connect with refugees beyond the U.S.
Through the Global Neighbor program, volunteers participate in service learning trips to connect with refugees overseas. Many of these refugees have just recently fled their home country.
The trips are an opportunity for those who work or volunteer with refugees in the U. S. to bear witness to another point of the “refugee highway.” Trip participants return home with a better understanding of the refugee journey and a stronger voice to advocate for refugees locally.
Currently, our main project is in Lebanon.
- Visit tent settlements to meet with refugees who have requested to share their stories.
- Help lead a three-day Kids Club, providing refugee children with high-energy fun, activities, nutritious hot meals and time away from the tent settlement – a chance just to be a kid!
- Visit and learn from Lebanese churches and ministries serving refugees and witness how God is at work through the Christian Church in Lebanon.
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Global Neighbor trips to Lebanon are currently suspended. For more information about the Global Neighbor program, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
